The workshop FEY e.V. Nature Warriors aims to provide young volunteers with a hands-on approach to environmental stewardship and waste management. It is designed as a practical effort to restore local ecosystems and improve the ecological health of community green spaces.
The event brings together passionate volunteers and local members to tackle environmental degradation through direct action. Participants gain firsthand experience in waste collection and forest preservation, learn about the impact of littering on local flora and fauna, and receive guidance on sustainable waste disposal.
The session also promotes a collaborative spirit by allowing volunteers to work in teams and discuss the importance of civic responsibility. Organized by Free European Youth e.V, the activity supports broader goals of environmental awareness and youth-led climate action for a cleaner future.
The event produced a measurable shift in how participants perceive their role in nature conservation through community service. They developed a specialized set of organizational skills applicable to grassroots environmental movements, especially for those focusing on local advocacy and ecological restoration.
Attendees collaborated with seven dedicated volunteers from Free European Youth e.V, strengthening their commitment to the environment and establishing a solid foundation for future local projects. The program resulted in a cleaner 100. Yıl Hatıra Ormanı, a practical framework for future cleanup drives, a shared sense of community pride, and a strategic model for youth-led mobilization. Many of these individuals now serve as active environmental ambassadors within their own social and educational circles in Türkiye.
